Guy Sebastian is an Australian pop, R&B and soul singer-songwriter who was the first winner of the Australian Idol series in 2003. Since then he has released six top 10 albums, including a No. 1 and No. 2, which have all gained either platinum or multi platinum accreditation.[1][2][3] He has also released 11 top 15 singles, eight of which reached the top 10 of the ARIA Singles Chart including five No. 1's.[4] This is a list of the nominations, awards, and other recognition Sebastian has received during his career.
The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards, commonly known as ARIA Music Awards is an award's night celebrating the Australian music industry. The ARIA Awards recognise excellence and innovation and achievement across all genres of Australian music. The inaugural ARIA Awards took place in 1987.[5]

a ^ Sebastian achieved his sixth No. 1 release when "Who's That Girl", the lead single from his sixth album reached No. 1 in December 2010. He will receive this award when the ARIA No. 1 Chart Awards are next held. Sebastian is the only Australian male artist in Australian music history to achieve five No. 1 singles, and is equal third overall for all Australian acts.[15]
ARIA recognises sales achievements with the listing of the highest selling releases of each year on their website in the End of Year Charts. In 2010 they also listed the highest selling releases of the decade 2000 - 2009 in the End Of Decade Charts.[16] Sebastian's debut single "Angels Brought Me Here" was named the highest selling single of the decade and he was presented with an award for this at the 2010 ARIA No. 1 Awards.[14]
